Today, reinterpreted by Dominique Ropion based on the incredible 1348 recipe, rich in fragrant ingredients to combat the Black Death and the forces of evil, its intensely fragrant formula immediately transports us to another world. Delectable scents of spices, aromatics, warm, amber, resinous rockrose absolute (a wild shrub from the arid lands of the Spanish garrigue), Damask rose (the most opulent, sweet, and honeyed of all roses), intoxicating and heady wild myrrh, styrax resin with its warm trail of animalic and leathery notes, and highly spiritual frankincense.
