MATIERE PREMIERE’s primary dedication is to the precious raw materials from around the world.  They are at the heart of the work of Aurélien Guichard, 7th generation perfumer, who offers a contemporary approach to the French creation of high-end perfumes.

At the beginning of the creative process of each fragrance is an original idea, embodied by an overdosed raw material, then faceted by the composition work of the perfumer.

In 2016, Aurelien Guichard together with his family founded a Rose centifolia organic farm (Ecocert(R)) in the Grasse region.
He is the only Perfumer to open and produce his own Rose Centifolia. Following a family and regional khow-how he cultivated thousands of Roses on an exceptional terroir, recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2018.

There are no synthetic coloring agents inside any fragrance. The color of MATIERE PREMIERE perfumes is natural and can evolve, without altering their quality.
