Alessandro Gualtieri, the perfumer behind ORTO PARISI has a fascination for materials that led him to put fabric creation and development at the heart of this garment.
The pattern has been woven by a renowned Italian weaving house into a fine jacquard made of natural fibres only. The craftsmanship of the fabric is exposed to reflect the Orto Parisi charm and artistry.
The free-running and irregular yarns are inherent to this particular process of weaving, as well as the effects of time and wear on the loose yarns. Both are intricate parts of the life and soul of the garment.
A pigment dye with coffee residue has been used to give the fabric an aged look. The variations in colour intensity that give the product an imperfect appearance are a precise characteristic of this artisanal process.
As the fabric is two-sided, the robe can be worn inside-out with its construction laid bare. It can be washed and ironed, but the result will be noticeable on the fabric; the edges will lighten, and the threads will swell. If you wish to preserve the original look of the garment, you should opt for dry cleaning only.
