Created by Astier de Villatte in collaboration with Countess Setsuko Klossowska de Rola, a painter. Handmade in the tradition of great 18th century Parisian studios, with clay sourced from the quarries in the Paris Basin. All Astier de Villatte ceramics are handmade in Paris.
Hand molded from black terracotta, each piece is finished with a milky-white glaze that highlights the unique character of the clay, celebrating its imperfections and ensuring that no two pieces are exactly alike.
